Once you have the Payouts plugin installed on your website it will seamlessly integrate with Instant Prizes.
When someone wins an instant prize, it will automatically be moved to the Payout portal even if it has no cash value.
Where you normally setup the Instant wins you will also see new fields such as site credit payout amount & cash alternative payout amount.
In the example below we can see if someone wins the Nintendo Switch, the Site Credit alternative would be 300. Since the Site Credit alternative is slightly higher than the retail value, winners will be more inclined to choose the Site Credit option which will be applied instantly.
This will save you time sending cash prizes manually or dispatching physical prizes. The main purpose of Payouts is to save you admin time.
Setting up a prize is easy, fill in the fields such as Prize name, Site Credit payout and Cash Payout
Once the Customer wins an Instant win they'll be able to claim their wins and choose their payout option
Below you will see how the Payout system looks for a winner. In their My Account section under My Payouts they’ll have a list of all their wins. In the below example when they click “Claim” they are offered three options.
Not every instant prize will have a cash alternative, but this one for example has a lower cash alternative than the voucher that was won.
Choosing to exchange will reward site credit immediately & clicking Cash or Prize will open a payout form.
This form will be automatically filled if they have previously requested a Physical prize so they do not have to keep typing their information in. Once they submit the form it will send an email to your Instant prize email, this is the email you already get Instant win notifications to.
You can add an additional dropdown on the payout form for prizes with a variant, this will only work on physical prizes and not cash alternatives.
You will also be able to add main prizes as payouts, this will reward the prize to each main prize winner, so if you have 3 winners and the prize is shared make sure you divide it beforehand.
Here is an example of the email you will get, the Claim ID is a unique identifier which you can paste into the Instant Prize History search bar to pull up their Order details and other information.
Thats it for Payouts, its a straight forward process that leads the winner through a structured system with the intention of reducing your admin and encouraging them to convert their winnings into site credit to spend on your website!
There’s also an optional add-on to verify the ID of new winners. This requires a passport or driving licence plus a selfie to confirm each customer’s age and identity if they want to take a cash or physical prize. This solution will save you a lot of time verifying manually and will integrate with the winner history & payout system seamlessly.
If a customer is not verified but tries to choose the physical or cash prize they will get this message
In the winner history, you can view key information from the customer’s verification, reducing the need to manually request identification
You can also manually override any automated decisions by reviewing submissions under Verifications in the menu. From there, you can approve or decline each customer individually. This is especially useful when a face match score is low or when information is missing. Customers who are declined can reapply at any time using a different form of ID or by providing a clearer selfie with a better face match
You can also have Cash Payouts go to Wallet Cash where customers can convert or withdraw
If they close the tab for whatever reason, they can always fill in the form later, see screenshot below of the Submit Claim button when they have clicked Manual Prize but not yet submitted the information above.
This email can be disabled and you can manage all details through Winner History if you prefer
They can still get site credit alternatives for prizes, identity is only required for cash & physical prizes

The winner history is built to be a more simple interface that lists all the winners 1 by 1 instead of clustering them by orders.
You can change the status of an instant when you have paid them and this is fully compatible with Payouts meaning you'll see when someone has requested their manual payout or left it unclaimed.
You'll also be able to see Main Prize winners easily aswell from the dropdown and use the same status dropdowns to mark them as paid.
With the tag system you can add short notes to each instant win that can provide quick information to your team, these are synced instantly
There is also live syncing on the Winner History page to show real-time status updates made by team members, helping prevent duplicate rewards and allow you to work more collaboratively
Click on "More Details" to see a Popup with additional information about the specific instant
Additional fields depend on the functionality on your website, such as if you have Payouts or Sales Reports
Our platform receives automatic updates monthly with new features & improvements across our functionality.
The Dashboard is the homepage of our platform and will provide useful information such as revenue, health status, updates & notifications
When clicking View all updates you will be redirected to our updates page:
From the Updates page you will see the latest improvements & be able to turn on add-ons such as 2FA, Bot Puzzles, this page also allows you to request upgrades for functionality not on your website.
You'll also find this documentation embedded on the features page incase you need help setting anything up or want to learn more about how our platform works.
Wallet Cash is a cash prize that is instantly credited to the winner’s wallet the moment they win, with no need to manually claim it. It can also be combined with other payout methods, and if a customer selects a cash payout while Wallet Cash is enabled, it will be automatically included and handled accordingly.
By default Wallet Cash works seperately to Wallet Credit and can only be used to convert or withdraw. If you want to unify your Wallet Cash & Site Credit making both withdrawable but allow it to be spent without conversion this is possible
For competition owners, this helps reduce the volume of withdrawal requests, lowering banking and processing fees, while also encouraging users to spend smaller balances on the platform when they fall below the minimum withdrawal threshold.
Wallet Cash is tracked separately from Site Credit. Only the Wallet Cash balance is eligible for cash withdrawal. Any credits earned through other sources, such as referrals or manual top-ups, are treated as Site Credit and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
This is explained to the Customer on Payouts Portal & Wallet
Customers have two options:
Convert it the Wallet Cash balance is show on Payouts & Wallet pages, you can incentivise customers to convert their cash into site credit with a bonus.
Withdraw it If customers would prefer the cash paid directly to their bank account, they can request a withdrawal from the Wallet Credit section of their wallet. They will need to provide their bank details which will be sent to admins to be processed.
Customers can convert Wallet Cash directly from the same page where withdrawals are made as shown in the screenshot above. If a bonus is configured, it will automatically be shown and applied in real time, calculating exactly how much site credit the customer will receive based on the amount they choose to convert.
Customers can withdraw any available wallet cash through their Wallet under "Wallet Cash" in the same area that they can convert to Site Credit.
If enabled, any Cash Payout will be converted into Wallet Cash. This will be automatically credited to the customer if the instant is Cash Only.
If this instant has multiple payout options selecting Cash Payout when claiming will instead credit the amount as Wallet Cash.
Wallet Cash is not the same as Site Credit, Wallet Cash cannot be directly spent at Checkout, it can only be converted or withdrawn.
Cash Withdrawals can be marked as paid or rejected. In the rare circumstance a withdrawal needs to be rejected, such as if their bank details are invalid, the wallet cash is refunded back to their wallet.
You can add notes which are sent in the email notifications to customers, this can be important if you reject a withdrawal and want to communicate the reason for it.
On the Withdrawal Dashboard you will see "Adjust Settings" which will open a popup
Customers will be notified when their withdrawal has been processed or rejected.

If you are familiar with adding an Instant Prize, you can also link other tickets from another competition to that Instant Prize.
Above the Instant Prize title click "Reward Tickets"
This will open a popup where you can add different competitions, the configuration works similar to Postal Entries & you can add multiple competitions/tickets to one instant prize, please read the warnings on the popup as this will disable payouts and mark the instant prize as non-payable meaning it will not show in the Winner History Using Winner History
Do not combine with Cash or Physical Instants as these will not show up in the winner history or payouts portal, this feature is to be used only for instant prizes such as "10 Tickets into Competition X or £10 Ticket Bundle" where there is only a digital reward
Where you set the date, max tickets & price of the competition you will also find the ability to add tickets, this is compatible with both live draw and automatic draws and is ideal for competitions where the main prize is tickets into another competition
If a competition you are rewarding becomes sold out, you will receive an email notification. You can also reroute the reward to a different competition via the under “Failed to Generate.” Our rerouting feature will replace the old competition with the new competition on the failed orders aswell as on any instant prizes that are still available to win to stop it happening on future wins.
You will not be able to change the quantity of tickets rewarded, only the competition the tickets are added into & you will have 14 days to resolve rerouting issues.

If you've read our Setting up Scratch Cards article then you will see a lot of parallels between that and this article.
You may only need to read one of these articles to understand how to operate both of them but in this article we will show you how the Spinner works from a customer perspective aswell as how to set it up.
The Spinner needs an Instant Prize Competition to function
Setup an Instant Prize Competition as usual and then scroll under the Featured image to find the Minigames widget.
Select the Spinner Game and save the product. Once you have done that, every ticket purchased will give customers a go at the Spinner.
The Spinner & all minigame modes integrate with the Instant Prizes to provide a visual overlay that is more interactive than the original instant wins. When someone purchases a ticket they will see a button after Checkout aswell as on the Spinner activated competition above the Add to Cart button where they can open a Spinner Popup.
To edit the spinners colours go to Minigames -> Settings You can then paste in the hex codes of the colours you want, these will be randomly chosen, there are also some extra colour sliders for borders and other parts of the Spinner
You can setup multiple winners while the competition is live, perfect for advent calendars or daily winner competitions.
Winners are automatically chosen at random on the date you’ve scheduled and if you are rewarding site credit they will be automatically paid.
Check the Interval Winners option on the Edit Competition page near where you setup Questions, you will see different modes (Sold %, Daily, Weekly, Multiple Dates).
The boxes below will show you when each scheduled interval winner will take place for clarity.
Specific fixed times that you set, for example 9th November 9am
Spinner themes can be set per competition, have a look at our themes below
We can help you set this up if you need

When the total sales percentage sold equals or surpasses the number you set
You cannot have an interval winner at the same time or beyond the competition ending date.
You cannot edit an interval winner if someone has won but you can add new ones.
Any prizes that are not site credit will not be rewarded automatically are treated like main prizes, you will need to reward them yourself however they're automatically and randomly chosen the same way as an Auto Draw.
This can be restructured to look different for advent calendars for example
Please remember you cannot edit an interval winner if someone has won but you can add new ones

All minigame modes integrate with the Instant Prizes to provide a visual overlay that is more interactive than the original instant wins.
Click in the Menu to see a list of some of our Minigames, the rest are in the playground!

Go to your product list and click Edit on the Competition you want to apply scratch cards to
Scroll down on the right hand side until you find the below dropdown
From this dropdown select Scratch Cards
Now whenever someone buys a ticket, they’ll be given a scratch card, they’ll then need to scratch the card to see if they won instead of the original instant prize method.
There are some ways to customise your scratch cards, such as adding Sad or Happy images which will reflect if they have won or not. These images are shown when they scratch off the image and before knowing if they have won.
If no image is selected it will default to the product image everytime they scratch a card.
You’ll find the settings for Scratch Cards under “Minigames” in your Admin panel
Upload images to your Media library and then paste the images in the large boxes depending on if it is a Postive or Negative image.
You can also set a default SVG for the scratch cards that will replace the grey image shown before a customer scratches.
We recommend asking us for help with this if you are stuck on how to add your logo for example to the grey scratch image.
Where you set the minigame mode you can also set an optional feature to allow people to claim a free scratch/spin
The button will show on the Product Page aswell as the Thank you page after payment as shown below

This is a basic referral system integrated with the Wallet system and allows both the affiliate and the referral to obtain a reward.
Old customers cannot be attached as a referral, only newly registered accounts.
The backend is very simple allowing you to choose between a percentage reward or a fixed amount reward.
You'll also be able to choose the range of the order that qualifies for the reward
An affiliate reward (This is the person sending out the link)
A Customers Reward (Optionally give the person being referred to your website a reward)
Referral Type (A choice between New Users, One Time & Recurring)
This means newly registered customers signed up at affiliate link that have not spent anything previously and its their first order. This will only work once per new customer and does not offer recurring rewards.
This is a continuous referral, everytime a referral places an order with or without the referral link the rule will be executed. This is typically paid with a % reward type & will work with existing referrals & new referrals aswell. Optionally, you can set a date so the promotion only applies to referrals registered from that date onward, ensuring that older, existing referrals are excluded if desired.
It will not reward on orders paid by Wallet credit
This can be any newly registered customer with the affiliate link, existing referrals can be upsold aswell but must use the referral link, this reward type can only be claimed once. They cannot keep getting the same reward unless you change the rule name to a new one.
You can only set a % reward unique commission for a customer, not a fixed reward. This is to prevent mistakes overtime where you over reward someone. You can do this in the Edit User options on your users page.
Only one rule will execute at a time per order, if there are two rules that reward on similar parameters, it will only reward the first rule. For example if you have a one-time referral rule with the exact same Min & Max Order Totals and different rewards as a new user rule, whichever is the first one will be rewarded and the second one will not be rewarded. New User rules should be above One Time rules for this reason. If you had two New User sign ups and the Order totals overlap both rules, only the first one will be rewarded and the second one will never work.
Rules are bypassed on Orders paid with Wallet Credit

If you've read our Setting up Scratch Cards article then you will see a lot of parallels between that and this article. You may only need to read one of these articles to understand how to operate both of them but in this article we will show you how Darts works from a customer perspective aswell as how to set it up.

Setup an Instant Prize Competition as usual and then scroll under the Featured image to find the Minigames widget.

AI Assistant is an add-on feature that must be requested
You can setup competitions in one prompt with the AI Assistant when creating a new competition, you will see the AI Assistant in the top right.
Click "Open Chat" to open the AI Assistant and you will see the chat box, you can then generate competitions by giving it as much information as possible.
You can request the AI assistant to generate an image, make sure it is descriptive enough mentioning styles, themes, descriptions, once generate it will automatically add it as the featured image which you can review an save.
Using the same chatbox you can generate instant wins too without generating the entire competition, you can say something like "Add these instant wins, 5 x £500 Cash, 100 x 99p Site Credit, 200 x £5 Cash" and it will immediately add them to the instant win boxes which will save you some time!

Spending Controls allows customers to set their own limits or take a break, the limits cannot be changed and they will be blocked from purchasing tickets if they exceed their spending limits.
Here is an example of the spending controls shown in the My Account page for customers that are logged in.
This report allows you to see the latest changes from customers and specific customers who have exceeded their spending controls.
You can set frequency rules & more through the settings page.

We can also use phone numbers & SMS to verify accounts, the process is similar to the below
This plugin does what it says on the tin and will help verify every email address at sign up, whether that is at checkout or on the normal sign up form.
You can also connect it to Abstract API to avoid having customers put in a code to verify their email address.
On sign up a Popup will appear asking them to verify their email
The settings are super simple, you can choose the Popup Form which is free, or you can use a third party API such as Abstract to verify accounts without having the customer enter any codes.
This will be configured for you, let us know which option you prefer

Postal Entries is a simple way of creating orders for any free tickets. Instead of giving customers site credit or coupons you can quickly process a manual order.
All orders ticket numbers are randomly generated like on the frontend but the Postal Entries allows you to easily add tickets in seconds compared to the normal Woocommerce Admin Order page which can be confusing.
Below is an example of the Postal Entries Plugin, this is a utility plugin to help with some of the admin of postal entries.

The Cloner can be found on the Edit Product page near the save button.
Once you click Clone it will safely duplicate the Competition with the same settings except for date.
Once this is clicked, you will be redirected to the new Competition
You wil be able to delete all the instant prize data incase you want to set new data with new ticket numbers for this competition.
This is used to create daily or weekly competitions automatically, we advise the original competition closes before the date selected
Automatic cloning is made easy with the widget on the side panel of the Edit Product page. This will clone the competition on the specific day and then calculate the new start and finish dates based on the date ranges of the original competition.
For example if you have the original competition with the start date as 01-01-2025 14:00 to 14-01-2025 20:00 then the newly cloned competition will retain the hours and work out the date difference, so it will start today at 14:00 and finish 14 days later at 8pm.

Generate a PDF after a competition has closed ethier automatically or manually in seconds, even if a competition has over 500K tickets it will take less than a minute to generate a PDF Entry List.
You'll find the Generate PDF option next to the Publish/Save button on the Edit Product page
Yes, there are a few options to customise the style of the PDF to suit your branding
Achievements allows customers to get rewards over the long run in different ways, for example you can see below a variety of different Achievement types.
The rules of the Achievements are preset based on technical logic, however you will be able to set some of the parameters as shown below:

The AI Assistant can also analyse data across the site for you such as Live Statistics, this can be advantageous before setting a competition live to see the predicted performance and make sure everything is as expected
Click AI Analyse and it will automatically open a chat box with its analysis of your competition statistics

Our new Quest system strives to make your website more interactive. With the Quest plugin installed your customers will be able to
Collect Quest Points for doing daily, weekly & monthly quests
Get Rewards & Cashback the more they interact with the website
Collect Badges & Rank against other customers
We have built the Quests system to be automatic, that means that you can set the interval, targets, description and then every interval that you've set (daily, weekly, monthly) the Quest will then be repeated.
Go to your Admin panel and click on Quest Builder - Add New Competition (Similar to setting up a Competition)
As shown in the below screenshot, you will be able to setup a Quest in a variety of ways. The below options are self explanatory but let us know if you have any questions!
Your Quest will then be shown on the frontend, there is a widget on the bottom left aswell as a tab in the My Account section.
By default Quests will come with pre-filled rewards which will be shown when a Customer clicks "View Rewards" on their Quest dashboard
Here is an example of the Rewards section when clicked
You can however change your rewards, levels and Quest milestones by going to Quest Builder -> Quest Settings
Our Quest plugin is always evolving so we'll be adding to this article overtime. Hopefully it helps you get setup with the basics and keeps your website fun and entertaining! 😄
When a Quest is completed the rewards of a Quest will be applied and a Popup will show
The Quest Dashboard is found under My Account when logged in

Submissions are handled by us however Google Play will not accept competition apps anymore
We can create Apple & Android Apps which will be the same as mobile view on your website with a few extra features on top.
Through Onesignal you will be able to schedule & send notifications - we can also create automatic journeys for abandoned checkouts, custom events such as instant wins going or ending competitions.
When setting up a competition you will see a checkbox called "App Only Competitions" which will make it impossible to purchase tickets to the competition on desktop, they must be using the app to enter.
Avatars is our attempt to connect your websites customers together and allow them to show off their achievements, profiles and stats with eachother.
Allow Customers to create a unique profile that shows across the website.
When other customers hover over their name, they will be able to see a highlight of all their instant wins and activity.
Avatars is compatible with Achievements to lock certain Icons & titles
You can add exclusive titles, lock them behind achievements and add custom avatars specifically for your customers
These modes offer a different visual to the standard table list
The Leaderboard plugs in with Instant wins to create a leaderboard podium. It can be intervalled by weekly or daily, aswell as one leaderboard for the entire duration of a competition. Each Leaderboard is set per competition, so you can have a leaderboard competition, it is not a global leaderboard.
Below are the settings that are shown when creating a competition, you can setup any type of game mode aslong as you have instant prizes enabled.
The leaderboard options can be found when setting up a new competition under the description
Counts how many times a customer has won an instant, this is used to tally the scoreboard, those who have won more instant wins will be at the top
Add Pts or Points to your instant prize names such as "50 Points" it will tally up the points for each customer and put them on the leaderboard
An exclusive game mode where people can wear the Crown, steal it and compete to hold it the longest. The one who holds it for the longest overall wins. You must put "Steal" and/or "Crown" in any instant win title, this allows someone to hold the crown and start the timer! For example "Steal it", "Hold the Crown", "Steal the Crown" Other keywords you can use instead of Crown or Steal are: Throne, King, Queen For example "Sit on the Throne" "All Hail the new King" "Long live with Queen"
You can set the game mode, time the leaderboard resets and chooses a winner and the interval, these settings are found when creating a new competition under the description box
For a leaderboard that lasts the entire duration of the competition and does not reset, tick the "Set all time visuals" option, which will disable intervals and have an all-time leaderboard.
If you have the Payouts feature on your website, please make sure you click "Non Payable" on any instants that do not have a non-digital reward otherwise they will show up on the Payouts section for winners
Here is an example of a basic leaderboard with podiums that is shown on the frontend.
You will need to manually reward winners, typically with wallet credit. For admins you will be able to see the date ranges which you can click to see the timeline of the leaderboard at that point.
Here is an example:

If you have the Payout feature be cautious when setting up instant wins that have no cash or physical reward

Global Jackpot takes a % of every order total & puts it into a Jackpot. This will be displayed on the frontend and everytime someone places an order for tickets they will enter the jackpot and have a chance at winning everything in it!
The design of the Jackpot boxes can be branded to your website
Jackpot design can be changed but please see an example below summarising two jackpots.
Pressing the grey i icon will show an explainer about how the Jackpots work:
You can setup multiple Jackpots and change the distribution between each one of them on the backend.
Go to Global Jackpots in the Admin Menu, here you can create various Jackpots with different rules
A list of winners is shown on the configuration page so you can see when a Jackpot was won
Once a Jackpot is won a popup will show on the screen, this can be configured to fit with your website:
Jackpots are automatically credited to the winners account, they'll be able to see their winnings under Wallet in My Account.
We make sure there are no double jackpots given by using our Warden security plugin which queues and checks orders 1 by 1. There is a disadvantage to this however, that the Jackpot will not show immediately after payment and will show up to a minute later if they have won.

Make your Live Draws more fun with the Live Draw Wheel, this will select the winner of the draw once you select the prize and the ticket number that was randomly generated.
Like most of our plugins, this can be customised to your branding in the Admin backend, here is an example configuration for the above Live Draw Wheel

Ticket security is automatically configured with minimal settings with our plugin Warden
Without our security plugin double sold instants & prizes would be common overtime, especially as your website grows & gains more order volume.
This plugin hardens the security around Tickets & Woocommerce aswell as optimises various parts of your website.
This plugin automatically works in the background and does not require any setup however it is important to know what is happening in the background, so we have written a step by step process of how our security plugin interjects in the ordering proces.
Its impossible to see tickets before payment as they're randomly generated after payment
Customer places an Order & Pays
Once someone has paid for their order, Warden interjects and does a verification process. This verification process checks the customers tickets against the database, there is a random delay between every order in the chance of duplicate tickets being creating at the exact same milisecond. The verification process goes through multiple checks and then ethier will come to two outcomes, regenerate the order or approve it. If the order is approved then the tickets will show after the checkout page however if it is not approved the process continues.
Some Tickets are duplicate in the Order
If some tickets are duplicated in the order with another customer then the tickets will not show on the frontend and the emails will not be dispatched, within 5 seconds Warden will find the duplicate ticket(s) and try to partially replace those tickets only and keep the other tickets intact, if this is successful it will then approve the order for visiblity, however if it is not successful it continues the process.
Regenerating the Order
The order will be placed on-hold and go through the regeneration process, this is where the order is completely regenerated with a set of new tickets. As mentioned before the Customer will not know about this and there will be a progress bar on their page, they can leave and get their emails later or wait. The regeneration process takes a few seconds but is queued up to a minute. If the regeneration is complete, the order is verified and the tickets are visible.
Regeneration Failed
The regeneration will retry again, however if it fails once more then it will be queued as a failed regeneration. Depending on your website, this could mean a refund to the wallet or to the payment gateway directly depending on your settings.
Issues with Tickets
If in doubt, always check the Edit Product Page to see if Warden detected any issues. Most issues will be corrected in the background before you or the customer knows, but feel free to check the widget just incase:
Automatically creates indexes to optimise your ticket database
Double checks for duplicate wallet rewards and zeros any duplicates
Prevents Coupons being used on Wallet Topup
Blocks hackers trying to find instant win numbers
Dispatches Order Emails only after its full verification process
Clears Pending Orders overtime
Fixes issues where Wallet payments didn't deduct correctly
Fixes issues with Woocommerce £0 orders double creating
Fixes issues where Tickets are not added to the database on high volume sites
Clears cache automatically on Competition closure
Goes through a strict verification process on Instant Wins over £1000
If you are unsure of your settings please let us know and we will configure the refund process to your preferences

Archiver is an add-on plugin specifically made for high volume or older sites
As you sell millons of tickets overtime your database becomes bloated with data. Tickets sold a year ago are not needed anymore so there is no need to have them in your active database which is used everyday when someone places an order.
This is not only for older sites though as recently more competition sites are doing penny prizes. Penny prizes will speed up the process of a bloated database, you'll have more orders coming in and those orders will typically have hundreds of tickets in them, so if you typically do penny prizes with max tickets over 100,000 you can easily have millions of data in a few months.
If your website has become slower and slower overtime and the orders take longer and longer to fufill you most likely need it. Any complaints from customers about a slow ordering system would be a clue to a bloated database - If you also do a lot of penny prizes then most likely you need this feature if you've been running them for a while.
Customers will still see their wins on their My Account page
Depending on your configuration in non-peak hours (8am to 1pm) this feature will automatically turn on and look for old data that needs to be moved out of the live database and into a dormant database that can be tapped into if neccessary. You can choose between archiving orders and tickets or both aswell as setting the timescale to archive.
We will normally configure this for you but for example purposes please see below
These options decide when the automatic archiver will archive data. If you click 12 months then anything older than 12 months goes into the dormant database.
The dormant database can be tapped into in a table which looks up the archived data.
When you click View you will see all the order details as normally, this allows you to look into what tickets they bought, billing information and all your usual information in the rare case you need to lookup an old order.
This plugin is constantly evolving and we will try to update this page with any new features

Customer Cache serves pre-built HTML pages to authenticated users, this makes pages load in milliseconds rather than seconds. The challenge with caching logged-in users is dynamic content such as wallet balances, prize states, competition entries, and personalised popups that are unique to each customer. Customer Cache solves this with an AJAX fragment system: dynamic elements are updated seamlessly just after serving the cache. From the customer's perspective the page loads instantly and their dynamic data appears within a fraction of a second.
Stale files are detected & regenerated in the background ensuring your customers always get a fast & updated experience.
Customers who land on a page containing specific query strings such as utm_source, Klaviyo (_kx), or Facebook parameters will also receive the cached version of the page even if they're logged in, which will help when traffic surges due to promotions.
Cache is cleared when a competition is updated or when a competition has ended
Performance Options is a feature that will help battle the resource intensity of Penny Prizes. This feature comes combined normally with the feature as they both solve the same issue which is to tackle various problems when a database is overloaded with orders.
Once installed you will see a widget on every Edit Product page.
Minimum tickets in 1 order - Prevents lots of low ticket orders
Maximum tickets in 1 order - Prevents 1000+ tickets in 1 order which can be resource intensive

Customers time limit - Spaces out frequent purchasers orders so they don't keep purchasing every few seconds which saves resources for other customers
Disable Add to Cart - Optional rarely used feature to hide Add to Cart incase of any issues
Queue Mode - A global counter based on the orders in the current minute, if above the threshold customers will be put in a very short queue which is used to create space between orders and stop the website crashing
Any Free Competitions can cause sudden spikes in orders so if there is an influx of free ticket orders that is holding back the processing queue which dispatches emails, instant rewards & other important functions it will temporarily disable the add to cart button only on the free competitions to protect the website from slowing down & still allowing paid orders to come through at the same time
All these options are changeable by you however we do apply automatic limits on penny prizes and advise you to keep them. You can however remove them or disable performance options if you prefer.
Queue mode will rarely come into action however when it does it stops customers accessing the checkout page and instead puts them in a short queue before redirecting them back to Checkout
Hopefully this article gives you insight into how our performance options work but please let us know if you have any questions!
On a maximum of 3 competitions you can add a spend limit, which similar to Spending Controls tracks customers spend over a specific interval
This can be set under the Settings and can help prevent bots exploiting free competitions
You need our Volume Control plugin installed
You will get increased max limit per order & max tickets overall with Volume Control enabled
